ESPN botches Caleb Williams win post

· Fact-checked before it aired. Unconfirmed claims from this segment are not shown.

Caleb Williams and the Bears did not win on Monday Night Football; Minnesota beat Chicago 27-24, with Williams losing a fourth-quarter lead.

The Bears' Monday-night game was against the Vikings, not in Seattle, and Chicago lost 27-24, so there was no post-win video in Seattle. This is a highlight request, not a factual claim.

What the hosts said

MYou're on Late Scores, and the internet already got Monday Night Football wrong.
LESPN's account on X posted Caleb Williams saying "We're back baby" after a win. Small issue—there was no win.
MVikings 27, Bears 24. Caleb had a fourth-quarter lead and gave it away.
LHe threw three touchdowns. The defense gave up the lead late, not him.
MDoesn't matter. You don't post "We're back" after an L. That's exactly the problem.
LOkay, fair. Then SportsCenter doubled down, said the video was from Seattle. It was Minnesota.
MBrutal. Even the location got mixed up.
LDifferent world entirely: the NBA on X posted Steph Curry turning around before his three dropped.
M27 points, 18 in the third. He didn't even need to look.
LThat's the clip everyone's rewinding right now. It gets better every loop.
