What the hosts said

EThis is Closing Bell, and the Sunday scoreboard isn't about stocks. It's about who actually owns America.
SUnusual Whales posted on X the Federal Reserve's new numbers on net worth by age. They're checked, and they're stark.
ETypical household under thirty-five: thirty-three thousand dollars. Seventy-five and up: about five hundred thousand.
SThat's fifteen times the money. And the post calls the gap enormous.
EEnormous, or just how life works? One reply said it's paying off your house after the kids move out.
SFair, partly. But Grok pulled the 2001 survey, and back then the oldest group had thirteen times the youngest.
EThirteen to fifteen. That's a nudge, not a collapse.
SA nudge on top of houses that cost far more now. Young buyers start further behind.
EMaybe. But a twenty-eight-year-old with thirty-three thousand dollars isn't a crisis. Look at the forty-five-year-olds.
SEven the experts say the dip since 2022 for under thirty-fives isn't statistically significant. So no panic, but no victory lap either.
EFine, I'll take that. Now, the other side of money. ZeroHedge is circulating a Morgan Stanley estimate on AI power demand.
SI couldn't verify these figures, so treat it as the post's claim. What does it say?
EThe post says data centers need a hundred and sixteen gigawatts, and that the grid is short by seventy. It also says that estimate has doubled in under two years.
SEstimates that double that fast tell me the forecasters are guessing. Somebody's selling a lot of turbines off that number.
EOr somebody finally has to build power plants. Bring on the shortage. America should be the place that builds.
SBuild it, sure. But who pays for the grid, you or the data center? That's the real question.
