Perplexity tool purges data-broker listings

· Fact-checked before it aired. Unconfirmed claims from this segment are not shown.

UNBROKER is a real tool by SHL0MS that finds a person's listings on data-broker sites and files opt-out removals; it began as a Hermes Agent skill and is now offered in Perplexity Computer's skills marketplace, where tasks using it are free through November 6 (up to 5,000 credits per user).

No evidence was found that Cloudflare has open-sourced an AI security-vulnerability-hunting skill. Cloudflare has released AI-related security tools, but nothing matching the specific claim of an open-sourced AI "skill" that autonomously hunts vulnerabilities was confirmable. This is a subjective showcase ("brilliant example of vibe-coding") of an immersive 3D IKEA furniture-assembly experience; there's no checkable factual claim beyond it existing, which is a demo/promotional statement. This is a personal observation/opinion about the author's experience with vibe coding, not a verifiable factual claim. This is a personal story about coding a to-do app without AI assistance; no checkable factual claim is made ("Zero Vibe Coding™" is a joke/tag). UNBROKER is a real tool by SHL0MS that find

I'm begging you to start taking security more seriously. 😲 Cloudflare just open-sourced an AI skill that hunts for security vulnerabilities in your code and independently verifies potential findings. If you're vibe-coding entire apps with AI and shipping them to production https

What the hosts said

EAI and Builders. I'm Eric, with Sloane—Aravind Srinivas just posted a data-broker purge tool.
SPurge is a strong word. Does it actually remove you?
EHe posted on X: "Get yourself purged from data brokers" using the Unbroker skill on Perplexity Computer.
SWhat's the catch?
EIt finds your listings on data-broker sites, drafts opt-out requests, and waits for your approval before sending. Free through November 6.
SSo you hand your name and address to an AI agent so it can ask data brokers to delete your name and address.
EThe data brokers already have it. This is doing the paperwork, not exposing you.
SWho holds your info while the agent shops it around? Perplexity? The skill developer?
EIt's from the developer behind the original Unbroker. Requests stay pending until you approve. I'd take that.
SI'll give it this—if it works, it saves a weekend of faxing. I just don't love the middleman.
EYou'd rather have your info in ten databases than trust one tool to file the opt-outs?
SI'd rather file the opt-outs myself, once, with a full head of steam.
EDifferent argument entirely: David Raymond posted that vibe coding is the first time he shipped something he can't fully explain.
SThat's my point. Shipping code you can't explain is how you get pwned.
ENot every app holds credit cards. Sometimes you ship a weird little tool and learn.
SIan Wright built a to-do app with no AI, debugged it himself, and called it character development.
ECharacter development for a to-do list? I'll take the AI route every time.
SFair, but I'd still rather find my own bugs than trust a machine to write them.
