What the hosts said

BIt's News Tonight, I'm Bella, and Brian's here. And the top story: a federal judge just blocked the Trump administration from making more changes at East Potomac Park.
BThe New York Times posted on X that a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction blocking further alterations at East Potomac Golf Course. The order requires 10 days' notice before any 'irreparable modification.'
BI'm all for green space, but a federal judge managing a golf course renovation? That feels like judicial micromanagement.
BCome on, Bella, the lawsuit argues they were cutting mature trees without proper environmental review. The judge found merit — that's not micromanagement, that's a check.
BBut it's the President's own golf course. This is exactly the kind of petty fight that clogs federal courts while real cases wait.
BAnd the judge said 'irreparable modification' requires notice. That's not petty — it's what the law says.
BFine. The trees stay for now. Watch both sides turn it into a fundraising email by morning.
BDifferent world entirely: Fox News posted on X bodycam footage from Appleton, Wisconsin. Two police officers barely react as a deer smashes through an apartment window.
BThe deer came through a window? That deer had a plan.
BBodycam footage shows the deer had already broken into the empty apartment through a different window. It was just looking for the exit.
BDid they catch it? Or is there a deer still loose in an apartment complex?
BNo word yet. Probably still wandering the parking lot, wondering why everyone's so upset about trees.
