What the hosts said

SKim Jong Un just made his first trip to China in over a year, and the detail here is wild.
EI saw the AP report. He crossed a brand-new bridge, right?
SThe New Yalu River Bridge. Opened this week. He walked over — a day trip, no summit with Xi.
EKim loves a bridge photo. But seriously, the bridge has been finished for years and never opened. Now it is.
SAnd both countries have their reasons. China wants trade access, North Korea wants the relationship warmer without committing to anything.
ENo summit means it was deliberately low-key. A memorial event, a photo, done. Both leaders protecting their leverage.
SStill, people noticed the timing. He picks a bridge opening, not a state visit. It's all choreography.
EAnd the original post selling it as 'deepening ties' — that's overreading it. This is maintenance, not a new alliance.
SEighty percent choreography, twenty percent real interest in keeping China close enough to matter.
ESpeaking of posts overreading things — one account on Bluesky is claiming Zelenskyy just announced Starlink is back at full power in Ukraine.
SDid they have a source?
EA YouTube link. That's it. No official announcement, no statement from SpaceX, nothing verifiable.
SSo a made-up 'breaking' story dressed up as an announcement. The account says the EU pressured Musk into it, which also isn't confirmed anywhere.
EAnd people share it because it fits a narrative. Ukraine needs the service, so any positive claim feels true.
SThe dangerous part is that when something real does happen, nobody can tell it apart from this junk.
EWhich brings us to a post that matters if it holds up. A federal judge in Utah just reportedly killed the Justice Department's lawsuit.
SThe DOJ was suing Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson, trying to get voters' personal information. The judge reportedly threw it out.
EBen Winslow, a local Fox 13 reporter, posted it. He says the federal lawsuit is dismissed.
SNow, one thing to be careful about: the ruling itself isn't independently confirmed yet beyond his post and link. But the judge's move would be a big deal.
EIf true, it means the federal government can't force a state official to hand over voter data just because it wants to investigate claims.
SOr it means the DOJ's case was just too broad. Judges throw out lawsuits on technical grounds all the time.
EBut even if it was technical, the effect is the same: the feds don't get the data this way. That's a real limit on a federal fishing expedition.
SThe DOJ isn't some bystander here. They went after a state official asking for private voter records. Earning a dismissal is a loss for them, plain and simple.
EA loss for the feds, a win for state control of elections. Voters should actually like that, no matter what party they're in.
SUnless they think the DOJ had a legitimate reason to check voter rolls. Which some people do.
ESome people also think the moon landing was faked. The reported decision is the only real fact we have so far.
SFair. And as soon as a written opinion comes out, we'll know exactly why it was dismissed.
EDifferent corner of the internet now — one restaurant critic on Bluesky posted their whole menu plan for the night.
SBrandi Buchman: 'Soup news; its sausage barley. Late breaking developments: bread pudding.'
EI don't know why, but that is the most honest 'breaking news' I've seen in the last hour.
SSausage barley is a legitimately strong winter soup. And bread pudding is a hedge against a bad main course.
EShe's running a better news desk than half the accounts slapping 'BREAKING' on old videos.
SAnd if someone tells you Starlink is back at full power, ask who actually said it. Not some anonymous account with a YouTube link.
ESame for a federal judge's ruling — it's real when the lawyer or the reporter puts their name on it and the court docket agrees.
SUntil then, it's just another post. And we'll be here sorting the signal from the noise.
