Streamer botting scandal hits Kick

· Fact-checked before it aired. Unconfirmed claims from this segment are not shown.

Streamer Lacy did have a reduced payout from Kick because the platform's anti-bot system flagged a significant portion of his viewers as artificial, according to xQc's public explanation. However, the claim that he "pulled 60,000 viewers while playing Madden" to boost his chances of winning Streamer of the Year is chat speculation, not a confirmed fact. No evidence shows Lacy orchestrated viewbotting himself, and there is no verified link to a Streamer of the Year campaign. This is a self-promotional post about a personal gaming video, not a factual claim. This is a self-promotional post announcing streaming hours and merchandise, not a factual claim. This is a hashtag-heavy fashion post about Off-White x Nike Air Max 90 sneakers, not a factual claim. This is a location-tagged social post

What the hosts said

NA streamer just got flagged for fake viewers during a Madden stream, and now everyone's asking if it was a ploy for Streamer of the Year.
JSixty thousand viewers for Madden? Come on. Even Madden's own servers don't get that.
NThe claim is from a post by Sys. Chat's pointing at Lacy, the Kick streamer, saying he pulled those numbers and that it's all about an award.
JWait, so what actually happened? Because sixty thousand is a very specific number to just make up.
NHere's the fun part. Kick's anti-bot system did flag a big chunk of Lacy's viewers as artificial. xQc explained his payout got reduced because of it.
JOkay, so the platform itself said something's off. That's not chat speculation, that's a paper trail.
NRight, but the part about him doing it deliberately to win Streamer of the Year? There's zero link to that. That's just the chat spinning it.
JBut if you're flagged for viewbotting, the motive is almost always advertising revenue or clout. An award is just clout with a trophy.
NOr someone sent bots to make him look bad. That happens more than anyone admits, and it works every single time.
JOh, come on. The "someone else botted me" defense is the oldest one in the book. Next you'll say his dog clicked the link.
NI'm not defending him, I'm saying the evidence we have doesn't prove intent. Kick flagged viewers, payout dropped. The "why" is still open.
JThe why doesn't matter! The platform punished him. If it was innocent, Kick would've reversed it. They didn't.
NThey might not reverse it even if he's innocent, because platforms don't run appeals courts. They protect their ad metrics first.
JFine. We can agree on one thing: sixty thousand Madden viewers sounds way too high for a normal stream, tournament or not.
NAnd that's why people jumped on it. The number was so absurd it had to be fake or a stunt. The truth is probably somewhere less interesting.
JLess interesting and slightly sad, like most streamer drama. Speaking of streamers and absolute disasters, there's a crypto story that's even messier.
NI like that transition. What did you find?
JA trader named Cizzy found a streamer who got "absolutely drilled" by the Kimchi coin. So now he's sending fees to the streamer instead of the coin.
NWait, Kimchi coin? Like the food?
JLike the crypto guy. Pump.fun signed this pseudonymous trader named Kimchi and launched a token with his name on October 20.
NOf course they did. And it hit... let me guess, millions instantly.
JForty million dollar market cap within an hour. Thirty million in the first ten minutes. Over twenty-three million in trading volume.
NAnd the liquidity pool behind that forty million?
JSomewhere between one-seventy and five hundred thousand. Yeah. So on-chain analysts looked and found Kimchi-linked wallets held seventy-five percent of the supply.
NSo the forty million is basically paper wealth. One big sell and the whole thing collapses. This is the same Kimchi who claimed a forty million profit on TRUMP coin?
JSame guy. And that forty million TRUMP trade has never been verified. No wallet, no transaction trail. Catch the Bull's own reporting says, quote, "I don't believe it."
NSo Pump.fun signed a guy whose only verified skill is being a meme, and launched a coin where his own wallets controlled most of it. That's not a launch, that's a trap.
JIt's worse. Pump.fun's co-founder Alon called him "the first trader to cross from crypto into pop culture." They know exactly what they're doing.
NAnd now this Cizzy guy says he's sending fees to a streamer who got burned? That's actually...
JIt's almost sweet, in a "we're all stuck in the same casino" kind of way. The streamer lost money on the coin, so Cizzy tips him directly instead.
NBut the streamer's identity isn't confirmed. We know the coin is real, we know it did hit forty million, but the "drilled" part is just Cizzy's word.
JAnd to be fair, anyone who bought KIMCHI at the top got drilled. It's not a very exclusive club.
NThis is the part of crypto that never makes the headlines. The retail traders who see the tweet, throw in fifty bucks, and watch it vanish.
JMeanwhile the insider wallets are already out. LarpCheck flagged it as "partly real" because the account is genuine but the supply concentration is a red flag.
NSo Cizzy's tipping a stranger because the system failed him. I get why people find that heartwarming, but it's also just... survivors helping survivors.
JAnd the guy who created the coin? Probably already counting his cut of that seventy-five percent.
NThe math is just brutal. Forty million market cap, half a million real money. That's a ninety-eight percent gap.
JIt's a magic trick. Look at the big number, don't check the wallet distribution, and definitely don't ask who's holding the rest.
NDifferent world from Madden bots, but same pattern: someone wants you staring at the headline number.
JAnd the streamer Cizzy's helping? I hope it's real, and I hope the tip covered at least his gas money.
NAlright, we've had enough crypto and fake viewers to last the hour. Something lighter?
JLighter, yes. A fan artist on Bluesky named Velvet drew a Deadlock character getting what she called "cuteness aggression, emphasis on the aggression."
NDeadlock fan art mixed with a little violence. As a treat.
JThe post has a couple hundred likes and the fan art is genuinely good. But the phrase "cuteness aggression" is doing a lot of work there.
NIt's the same energy as squeezing a puppy too hard because it's cute. Except here, apparently, someone gets tackled.
JThe internet is healing. Between crypto collapses and viewbot accusations, at least someone's drawing their favorite hero shooter character with a slightly unhinged smile.
NAnd that's the whole post. No drama, no botting. Just art and a caption.
JWhich is exactly what we needed after that Kimchi mess. Sometimes the best internet is just someone sharing a drawing.
NAnd the comments, from what we can see, are just people saying the art is good. No one's accusing Velvet of rigging likes.
JGive it an hour. Someone will find a way to make it about Streamer of the Year.
