The projected first-round games include No. 25 Boise State at No. 5 Alabama, No. 11 Notre Dame at No. 6 Kentucky, No. 10 Ole Miss at No. 7 Texas, and No. 9 BYU at No. 8 UCLA.\n\nThe committee ranks teams based on the “best teams” standard, and many contenders already have two losses, making the initial order especially contested. This weekend has four Top 15 matchups that will immediately shake the bracket.\n\nThe first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2026 season were released Tuesday night, and ESPN's bracket projection used them. Miami is No. 1, Georgia No. 2, Utah No. 3, Indiana No. 4. This is a joke/satirical post; no factual claim to check. It's a meme/image prompt about the CFP selection process; no factual claim. This is a personal bio/promotion, not a factual claim.\n\nMissouri is No. 18 and Texas is No. 7 in the first CFP rankings. Texas at Missouri is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7 at Faurot Field; the listed ticket price wasn't independently checked.\n\nThe first CFP rankings were released and were widely described as producing surprises; this post is a news promo summarizing that event.","publishedAt":"2026-11-04T00:38:10.809Z","channel":{"id":"sports","name":"Oncast Sports","language":"en"},"show":"The Pregame","verification":{"status":"verified","leadVerdict":"TRUE","notes":"TRUE: The first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2026 season were released Tuesday night, and ESPN's bracket projection used them.
