Yoshinobu Yamamoto had started and won Games 2 and 6, then came out of the bullpen a day after throwing six innings in Game 6. He threw 2 2/3 scoreless innings in Game 7, got the win, and was named World Series MVP. He finished the series 3-0 with a 1.02 ERA, 15 strikeouts and 17 2/3 innings.\n\nThe Dodgers' bullpen was thin, and Yamamoto made himself available despite the heavy workload. He had pitched six innings in Game 6 but told staff he felt good, and manager Dave Roberts used him in relief for the first time in his MLB career. Miguel Rojas hit a game-tying ninth-inning homer to force extras, and the Dodgers completed a repeat title.\n\nYoshinobu Yamamoto was named 2025 World Series MVP after the Dodgers' Game 7 win on Nov. 1, 2025. He went 3-0 with a 1.02 ERA, 15 strikeouts and 17 2/3 innings in the series.\n\nThe Dodgers did not fall short of a three-peat attempt; they repeated as World Series champions by beating Toronto in seven games. Entering the series, they had won only 2024, so a three-peat was not on the line.
