As the headliner? Don't get me wrong, he's a legend, but his last number one hit was... I honestly can't remember."},{"host":"Laura","text":"That's exactly why it works. The Super Bowl stage is too big for a flavor-of-the-month. Jay-Z's catalog is deeper than nearly anyone alive."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Deep, sure. But current? He's 57. The average Super Bowl viewer doesn't know his last three albums."},{"host":"Laura","text":"So you'd rather have some TikTok star who can't fill a 70,000-seat stadium? Jay-Z has produced this show for years. He knows how to structure a setlist."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Okay, that's fair. He built Roc Nation's halftime pipeline. But the headline slot? I need Beyoncé to come out for \"Crazy in Love.\""},{"host":"Laura","text":"You know she will. And that moment alone will break the internet."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"One reply on X says it won't be any different from Taylor Swift's performances. I'm not sure if that's a compliment or a threat."},{"host":"Laura","text":"I think they meant it as a jab, but Taylor's shows are masterclasses in scale. If Jay-Z matches that, we win."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"So the question isn't whether he can perform. It's whether the audience wants a nostalgia act or a current hitmaker."},{"host":"Laura","text":"The Super Bowl is not a Vegas residency. It's a global event. You want the songs everyone knows, and Jay-Z has at least ten of them."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Fine. According to that report, it's February 14th at SoFi Stadium. I'll be watching, and I'll be ready to admit I was wrong."}]}
