The Cougars finished 11–1 and clinched a spot in the Big 12 championship game. The loss came after BYU had climbed to No. 2 in the AP poll following a chaotic week when five of the top seven teams lost, including BYU's 28–24 win over Notre Dame in October.\n\nBYU started slowly, falling behind 14–0 in the first quarter, then outscored UCF 41–7 the rest of the way, led by Bear Bachmeier's 289 passing yards and LJ Martin's three rushing touchdowns, according to BYU Athletics.\n\nBYU did lose as the No. 2-ranked team, but not in double overtime to UCF. According to ESPN's AP poll recap, BYU rose to No. 2 after beating Notre Dame on October 18, 2026, and later fell 41–21 to UCF in the regular-season finale on November 29, 2026. No double-OT game between these teams appears in recent results.\n\nThe post appears to mix two games: Jaylen Brown and the Celtics vs. the Bucks, and a separate Bucks-76ers game. Brown's birthday is October 24, which fits the timing, but the matchup described is muddled.","publishedAt":"2026-10-24T23:56:48.751Z","channel":{"id":"mix","name":"Oncast Mix","language":"en"},"show":"Prime Time","verification":{"status":"verified","leadVerdict":"MISLEADING","notes":"MISLEADING: BYU did lose as the No. 2-ranked team, but not in double overtime to UCF.
