Some account called Sad Poets updated their 'anti-list' and Tate McRae just shot to the top."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"An anti-list. For people you root against. As a hobby."},{"host":"Laura","text":"It's ranking who they dislike most, week by week. Tate's number one, Ariana Grande's second, Taylor Swift moved up to third."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"And Sabrina Carpenter got cut entirely. Just... out."},{"host":"Laura","text":"I kind of respect the commitment. You need a spreadsheet to hate this efficiently."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"I need to know what Tate McRae did to deserve a 'NEW' tag with no explanation. She releases 'Housewife,' it's doing fine."},{"host":"Laura","text":"That's... not a flop, by any measure. Why is she being booed by this one person?"},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Because the list isn't about music, it's about stan politics. Someone's favorite got compared to her, and now she's the enemy."},{"host":"Laura","text":"And that's exactly what the other post is complaining about. Some account named Erica James asked why certain artists only get compared to Black artists, never to Sabrina or Tate or Taylor."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"That's a real question, and it's one that comes up a lot. The comparisons are never random. They follow a pattern."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Right. A Black woman puts out a new album, and suddenly she's up against Beyoncé, or another Black artist, like that's the only lane."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Meanwhile a white artist doing the same numbers gets compared to... herself, basically. Or the last white artist."},{"host":"Laura","text":"It's lazy criticism. But it's also how some fans see the pop landscape: everyone in their own box."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"But that's not the artists' doing! Tate McRae didn't draw the box. The critics and the fan armies did."},{"host":"Laura","text":"And the fan armies are the ones making anti-lists instead of listening to the music. It's all just... us versus them."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Here's my problem with the whole thing. An anti-list with Beyoncé and Ariana and Taylor and Tate and Gaga? These are not the same tier."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Oh, come on, it's not about tiers, it's about vibes. It's who bugs you right now."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Which changes week to week! That's not a list, that's a mood board with extra steps."},{"host":"Laura","text":"A hate mood board. That I would actually subscribe to."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Speaking of strange career moves, Leslie Bibb just joined the cast of 'Upgraded 2' with Camila Mendes, per Deadline."},{"host":"Laura","text":"I genuinely liked the first 'Upgraded.' Art world intern, ambition, a little romance. Solid."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Bibb's a really smart booking. She brings a completely different energy, and the Logan Roy daughter heat from 'The White Lotus.'"},{"host":"Laura","text":"Wait, are we getting her as a mentor figure or a villain? Because the Deadline piece says story details are under wraps."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"My money's on a steely gallery owner who hires Ana and then makes her life extremely complicated."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Or she's the friendly boss who teaches her about art forgery. You don't know."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"You think 'Upgraded 2' is going deep on forgery? Becca Gleason directed a rom-com, not a thriller."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Then Bibb plays the ex-wife of the love interest. The one who still has his couch. That's the role."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"You've written the movie already. Call Amazon."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Meanwhile, Casey Bloys just revealed his new Skydance content team, and it is basically the old HBO Max team with name tags."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Francesca Orsi, Sarah Aubrey, Amy Gravitt... all the people who greenlit the shows we actually watch."},{"host":"Laura","text":"So it's less a new regime and more a corporate reshuffle with the same taste buds."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"I'm not complaining. If the people who made 'The White Lotus' and 'Succession' keep their jobs, we're fine."},{"host":"Laura","text":"And if the union has anything to say about AI, those jobs won't be replaced by a prompt. IATSE just appointed its first tech intelligence officer, Jillian Arnold."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"First ever. The stagehands, the grips, the people who actually build the sets — they're mapping AI now."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Smart. You can't protect the craft if you don't understand the machine."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"And finally, this one's on the line between fun and exhausting: a post says yes, they listen to Kanye, Taylor, Olivia, Sabrina, Camila, Kendrick AND Drake."},{"host":"Laura","text":"All caps, like it's a confession. As if the pop police are going to come to their house."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"That's how it feels online now. You mention two artists from different fan camps and suddenly you're a double agent."},{"host":"Laura","text":"The bar is so low that listening to both Kendrick and Drake is considered a character flaw."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Clock my top ten: I've got Stevie Wonder, Bad Bunny, H.E.R., Frank Ocean..."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Nobody asks for mine, but I'm open. I contain multitudes, and maybe a little Creedence."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"You just outed yourself as a double agent. Good luck on the anti-list."}]}
