No follow-up, no hedging. Just left it there."},{"host":"Laura","text":"That's a big statement from the biggest name in Formula One. And he's not doing it to be popular in the paddock."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Some drivers won't even talk about tire pressure without an agent. Hamilton's been doing this for years — remember the helmet with the raised fist?"},{"host":"Laura","text":"Exactly. He's been consistent on human rights since way before it was cool in F1. The sport has a lot of money tied to some of those regions, by the way."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"That's the tension. You've got Grands Prix in the Middle East, big sponsors from everywhere, and the face of the sport naming names."},{"host":"Laura","text":"I think that's why it lands. He knows exactly what he's saying and what it costs him. Nothing about it is accidental."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"And for every person who says 'stick to racing,' there's another saying this is exactly the kind of platform you're supposed to use."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Right. You don't get to be a seven-time world champion and then say you're not political. Silence is political too."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"But there's a line, isn't there? I mean, should athletes have to make a statement every time something happens anywhere in the world?"},{"host":"Laura","text":"No, nobody said they have to. But when they choose to, that's their call. Hamilton chose. That's his right."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"And his risk. The FIA has a history of not loving it when drivers talk about things other than racing."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Which is insane. He's a whole human being, not just a guy who turns left. The fans who follow him, they want the whole human being."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Okay, okay. I'm not defending the FIA. I'm saying the backlash is real, and he knew it was coming, and he said it anyway."},{"host":"Laura","text":"That's why I respect it. Speaking of passionate fan bases — the Somnias are out tonight."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Dreamcatcher fans, right? Somebody on X posted about a new Somnie needing to experience 'Silent Night' live."},{"host":"Laura","text":"The post says we gotta keep the space welcoming for new fans because the MOVES. All caps, extra O's. That's a serious stan."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Dreamcatcher fandom is famous for that, actually. They have a reputation for being really welcoming to people who just found the group."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Look, every fandom thinks they're the nicest, but the Insomnia crowd genuinely backs it up. They run translation accounts, new fan guides, the works."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"And the music rewards it. Dreamcatcher does that dark rock K-pop thing nobody else really does at their level. The live shows are intense."},{"host":"Laura","text":"That's the thing about 'Silent Night' — it's a whole experience live. The drums, the crowd chanting. You can't fake that energy."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"I'll say this for the fan-driven side of K-pop: the moment a new fan shows up, the fandom mobilizes. It's like a onboarding department."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Not wrong. Anyway, that's the energy tonight's shows are going to need, and a new fan in the crowd is going to feel it."}]}
