New album, a Bangkok stadium show, and a full world tour starting late 2027."},{"host":"Laura","text":"A Thai artist getting that Universal push is a big deal. The production values jump instantly."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"And the fans are posting things like— one account, ridethebigsurf, just listed: new album, world tour 2027, fanclub livestream. Like, checking off a wishlist."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Another one posted something darker. You know what, the post is dark. She's listing upcoming releases as reasons to keep going."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"That's the thing about fandoms like this— what looks like tour spam from outside is someone's actual lifeline."},{"host":"Laura","text":"And that's worth sitting with for a second. Music keeping someone afloat until the next release... that's real."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"On the brighter side, the fandom has a name— Saturns, or Saturn. And they are already arguing about the setlist."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Of course they are. The tour is two years out!"},{"host":"Claudette","text":"One fan posted: no need to rush the album, just give us the tour. Preferably Asia or Southeast Asia. Parentheses, crying in my dreams."},{"host":"Laura","text":"That's fair. Thai artist, biggest fanbase is likely right there. But a world tour means Europe and the States too."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Jeff Satur himself is interesting— singer, producer, actor. He's not just a face; he actually writes and produces his own stuff."},{"host":"Laura","text":"And that's what separates him from a lot of the idol pipeline. He's a creator first."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Which is probably why Universal wants the global rollout. He's the kind of artist who can cross over without a language gimmick."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Except the songs are mostly in Thai, which in the U.S. market still gets treated as a novelty."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"But look at Bad Bunny. Look at BTS. The language barrier is collapsing."},{"host":"Laura","text":"BTS sang mostly in Korean but also did English singles when it mattered. Satur's team will have to make that call."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Well, the fanclub livestream will tell us how international this really gets."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Speaking of shows people are bingeing— Drew Magary finished Slow Horses season six and called it the best show on TV."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Six seasons in, and it's still building? Most shows fall apart by season three."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Gary Oldman's Jackson Lamb is one of the great TV characters of this decade. But I want to talk about Murderbot, because Seth Skorkowsky's post stopped me in my tracks."},{"host":"Laura","text":"The Apple TV Plus series? With Alexander Skarsgård?"},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Yeah, and Seth says three episodes in, holy crap this is great. And then he drops this detail: John Cho appears in Murderbot's favorite bad TV show within the show."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Wait, that's meta. The Murderbot universe has its own terrible soap opera, and they cast John Cho in it?"},{"host":"Claudette","text":"That is the kind of worldbuilding that tells you the adaptation understands the books."},{"host":"Laura","text":"And the books are beloved for a reason. Murderbot is this deeply anxious, introverted security unit that just wants to watch its stories."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Which is incredibly relatable. Give me a protagonist who would rather stream garbage than talk to people."},{"host":"Laura","text":"I am in this character and I don't like it."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Seriously though, fans of Martha Wells' books have been burned by adaptations before. This one apparently nails the tone."},{"host":"Laura","text":"And Skarsgård is a good fit for the deadpan internal monologue. He can do hilarious with a straight face."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Different corner of the culture: someone on Bluesky dug up a clip of Lily Tomlin walking off The Dick Cavett Show in 1972."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Okay, what happened?"},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Chad Everett described his wife as his property. Lily Tomlin stood up and walked off the live show. Just left."},{"host":"Laura","text":"That's not just a protest. That's saying: I will not sit next to a man who talks about a woman like that on national television."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"The post frames her as proving the power of being unapologetically yourself. And Snopes has verified the story."},{"host":"Laura","text":"1972. She was on a huge show, at a time when women were still fighting for basic respect, and she just left."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"And it wasn't a tantrum. It was a quiet exit. The most powerful kind."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Everett apparently kept talking as if nothing happened, which tells you everything about that era."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"And Lily Tomlin went on to have this massive career. You don't have to accept the nonsense."},{"host":"Laura","text":"Between that and Jeff Satur's fans booking their 2027 calendars, the internet is giving us both ends of the spectrum today."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"One more fun one before we go: Lauren Theisen wants a TV show where Amanda Seyfried and Nathan Fielder solve mysteries together."},{"host":"Laura","text":"I would watch that in a heartbeat. Seyfried plays it straight, and Fielder is just... doing whatever Nathan Fielder does."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"The pitch came out of nowhere, sparked by people discussing Elizabeth Holmes's home life, which she says she doesn't care about."},{"host":"Laura","text":"But the show idea? That's the good part. Pure chaos pairing."},{"host":"Claudette","text":"Somebody in Hollywood, write that down. Amanda Seyfried, Nathan Fielder, one murder a week."},{"host":"Laura","text":"I'd watch it for the deadpan interrogations alone."}]}
